I'm curious if any of you are into high-res 3D scanning, especially for small objects? I've been diving into the world of 3D macro scanners, and I'm really excited about the whole scanning process. I'd love to hear your thoughts, share your setups, and any tips or experiences you might have.

My biggest tip for really tiny, detailed stuff is surface preparation. sometimes a light, temporary matte spray can make a huge difference if your object is shiny or too dark

Most people chasing "high-res" small object scans are wasting time using structured light or LIDAR. Photogrammetry with a decent macro lens and controlled lighting beats most entry-level scanners, and you're not locked into overpriced proprietary ecosystems. Accuracy's in technique, not hardware
